The Shires Rest is an ideal venue for groups to take a break from travelling before or after participating in a full tour of the Hobbiton Movie Set.
Here, your group can enjoy some refreshments and the visit The Shire Store to take home some Hobbiton Movie Set memorabilia.
You and your group will surely enjoy the Hobbit-like setting in the themed Kaimai Room or if you wish, you can simply sit and relax on the balcony, enjoying beautiful rural New Zealand.
We offer catering and refreshment facilities, so do stop and have lunch at the Shires Rest. Large or small inbound groups are always welcome.
