Please be aware that there is some maintenance taking place on the Movie Set over your selected dates. This work will continue from 1 June – 30 September 2025. During this time, the main tour route will be unaffected however some contractors, maintenance and construction equipment will be working on site in the gardens and rear of the Party Field during your experience. Bag End, Bagshot Row and The Green Dragon Inn will not be affected.
Experience Hobbiton™ Movie Set as you have never seen it before with a guided tour through The Shire™ at dusk. Making the most of the remaining daylight, your tour guide will escort you through the 12 acre site, recounting fascinating stories and anecdotes about the trilogies, including a visit to Bagshot Row™ for a glimpse of the interiors of a humble Hobbit’s home.
Designed and crafted by the renowned creative teams behind the film trilogies, Bagshot Row offers an authentic glimpse into the charming dwellings of Hobbits going about daily life in the Shire. Your guide will lead you through one of two Hobbit Holes offering time to explore the detailed interiors, with each home designed to create an identical experience.
Continue along the pathways past The Millhouse, across the double-arch stone bridge and into the world-famous Green Dragon Inn for a complimentary beverage from our exclusive Hobbit™ Southfarthing™ range.
The guests will then be moved through into The Green Dragon dining room and treated to a banquet feast fit for a Hobbit. The tables will be heaving with traditional Hobbit fare and, as is the tradition in the Shire, second helpings are encouraged.
To conclude this premium Hobbiton Movie Set experience, after dinner the guests will re-join their guide to make their way back through the wandering paths of The Shire. The trails will be illuminated by path lighting and handheld lanterns will be provided amongst the guests to help light the way. This stunning journey under moonlight will travel through the village breathtakingly lit up, with Hobbit Hole™ chimneys smoking and lanterns glowing in the darkness.
Numbers are limited, so booking is essential. Please advise any dietary requirements you may have at time of booking in the provided field.
Please be aware this experience involves a shared family-style dining for dinner and dessert inside The Green Dragon Inn. You will be seated at a banquet table with others from your tour departure and the meal is self-service from the centre of the table.

Will my tour still operate in wet weather?
Yes, we operate in all weather conditions. Umbrellas are provided in the event of rain and we highly recommend you dress appropriately for the weather, with enclosed footwear.
In the event of extreme weather conditions we reserve the right to make alternative tour arrangements for you.

Does the Evening Banquet Tour and Second Breakfast Tour include the Movie Set Tour or do I need to book both to have the full experience?
Our Evening Banquet Tour and Second Breakfast Tour experiences both include a guided tour of the Movie Set at the beginning of the experience. This is the same tour experience guests get on our daily tour experience. If you wish to do a tour at a different time of day as well, then you are welcome to book multiple experiences.

What does 'No Departure' or 'Fully Booked' mean when searching for tour on your website?
When you are searching for a tour on our website, there are four status options that may appear - No Departure, Fully Booked, Book Now - Limited Places and Book Now.
No Departure - the tour experience you are searching for is not available on that date.
Fully Booked - all tickets for that tour experience on that date are sold out.
Book Now - Limited Places will appear with a gold button and red writing below. This means that there are only a small amount of tickets left (9 or less) for that tour experience on that date. We recommend booking as soon as possible if you are hoping to join one of these tours as when tickets are fully booked, we cannot increase capacity.
